Welcoming Congregation

UCF’s Welcoming Congregation Statement:

We, the Unitarian Coastal Fellowship, are an intentionally diverse community, welcoming of and enriched by people of varying cultures, economic and ethnic backgrounds; by people of varying sexual orientations, gender identities and family compositions; by people of all races, ages, and beliefs. (Adopted by the UCF congregation in 2006)

To receive the designation as a Welcoming Congregation, the members of UCF spent approximately eighteen months during 2004 to 2006 pursuing a program that included education, changes in congregational life so as to be more inclusive, and community outreach.

In February, 2022 UCF began the process of renewing our Welcoming Congregation status as outlined by the UUA. This will be an annual process. Follow this blog for news of our progress!
