The New Building Team is happy to announce that Thursday night, December 10th, the Morehead City Board of Adjustments approved our application for a Special Use Permit to operate a church at 2900 Bridges Street, and also approved the setback and parking variances needed to construct our new sanctuary.  Tom Cullison made the presentation on behalf of UCF with Guerry Stirling-Willis and Joe Naset attending as UCF expert witnesses.  Other expert witnesses included Chase Cullipher, VP of the Cullipher Group, and Robert Jameson, Project Manager for Smithson, Inc. our design-build firm.  We were represented by Russell Alexander, Attorney at Law.

What this means is that we are now approved by the City to move ahead with our plans!!!  Click here to see the designer’s beautiful concept drawing of the exterior of the building which we presented to the Board of Adjustments.  It really wowed them, and we hope it wows you too!  This is where we’re heading, thanks to input, financial support, and hard work from all of you.  More to come!

Sincerely,       Guerry and Joe, your New Building Team CoChairs
