On December 12th UCF members and friends went to Empower, our neighbors down Church Street, to bring them our annual Caroling Party. Empower is a program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As always, we had a wonderful time. We sang Christmas Carols and then served lemonade, iced tea, and lots of cookies and snacks to the clients and staff. Finally, we gave everyone at Empower a gift bag from UCF, with a knitted or crocheted item from Twisted Sisters, toiletry items and a holiday card. We all agree that this is a joyful event for everyone involved and hope we can continue this tradition into the future.
