Our beliefs are very personal and we respect all differences. A few words quoted from Religions of America by Leo Rosten explain us well:
"A Unitarian Universalist [UU] is one of a community of religious persons whose beliefs and ethics are freely chosen and constantly evolving through the experience of their lives."In general Unitarian Universalists believe in the oneness of reality and think of god as a unity rather than a trinity. They honor the ethical leadership of Jesus without considering him to be their final religious authority. They rely on their own reason and personal understanding, while they seek the guidance and inspiration of the great pioneers of religious insight of many traditions."Unitarian Universalists believe in the worth of all human beings and recognize their responsibility to help create a just and peaceful social order for all people. They believe that significant meaning and value can be discovered in life on earth without affirming a life after death."
Affirming the inherent worth and dignity of every person, the Unitarian Coastal Fellowship is open to all regardless of color, race, sex or sexual orientation. We are happy to extend a warm welcome to all visitors. We appreciate that new people add to our own growth and search in our religious community.
